Greg is the founder and President of The Schenk Company, Inc., Central Ohio’s exclusive tenant/buyer representative brokerage and consultation firm. Greg has 38 years experience in the real estate industry ranging from helping companies put together a strategic plan for their real estate facilities, representing tenants, and buyers in lease renewals and relocation negotiations as well as site selection nationally. Greg is a national speaker, teacher, trainer, mentor and coach. He has been teaching seminars nationally to professionals for over 20 years to help those who want to learn about the market as well as to brokerage firms who want to learn the process of representation and corporate services. His expertise is in the area of site selection and “win win” negotiation strategies.
Greg has studied and trained in all aspects of consultation, contract negotiation, commercial real estate leasing, development, investment property acquisition, and site selection criteria. He has completed the entire CCIM curriculum pertaining to investment analysis and acquisition. He attained the M CNE, Masters Certified Negotiation Expert designation to further enhance assisting his clients.
Greg is a past member for the advisory council for the Center for Real Estate at The Ohio State University, the past Co-Chairman of the SIOR tenant advisory services group, and attends tenant representation conferences worldwide. He has presented to numerous organizations such as the NAR, The Ohio State University Alumni Association, SIOR, BOMA, Coldwell Banker Commercial, Lee and Associates, The Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Society of CPA’s, Columbus Bar Association ,Costar and many others . For years he was a featured speakers for the NAR Realtor Commercial Alliance Signature Series that teaches and trains agents nationally. He owns in partnerships many different properties and can use this expertise to assist any agent, user or investor nationwide!
Greg has won many awards including : 2015 Midwest Real Estate Magazine Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame Inductee, 2006 Micro Entrepreneur of the Year award for Real Estate, CB Commercial’s prestigious Presentation Excellence award, Business First “Forty Under 40.” He was named one of the Top Fifty brokers in the Midwest for 2002 and 2003 by Midwest Real Estate News, and one of the Top Power Brokers in the country in 2004 by Costar Group. Fastrac Magazine has also highlighted him twice in the last four years as an entrepreneur on the move!
Greg was an Evans Scholar at The Ohio State University with a degree in Business Administration and a major in Marketing. He is very creative with solutions for his clients’ problems, and provides smart, strategic, short and long range planning in order to assist his clients in achieving their goals and improving their bottom line.
